Brushless motor

The sander is driven by a brushless motor with a top speed of 8000 RPM. A brushed motor uses carbon contacts, while a brushless design does not. The motor is powered by an 18V battery.

Three speed settings

A dial selects 4000, 6000 or 8000 RPM. Lower settings suit delicate or heat-sensitive material, and higher settings suit coarser grits on wood. Match the setting to your material and paper.
