What is in the case and how it is built

Forged carbon steel

The sockets are forged from carbon steel and finished in chrome. The set is sized for 1/4-inch drive hand-ratchet work on metric fasteners, such as bolts on small engines and brackets.

53 pieces in one set

The kit holds a 1/4-inch metric socket set, 3 hexagon sockets and 21 screwdriver bits. Rods, a slider, posts and an adapter fill out the rest of the 53 pieces.

TorqueVantage

Ratchet and universal joint

The quick-release ratchet wrench takes sockets and bits on and off by hand. The 1/4-inch universal joint bends between the ratchet and the socket, so you can turn a fastener from an angle.

Marked case layout

Each piece has its own marked slot in the plastic storage case. You can see at a glance which socket or bit is out of its place and put it back after the job.

Frequently Asked Questions

The set has a metric socket set, 3 hexagon sockets, 21 screwdriver bits, a ratchet wrench, a universal joint, an electric adapter and several rods and posts. All of it is held in one plastic case.

Every piece sits in its own marked slot. After a job, you return each socket or bit to its slot, and any gap in the case shows what is still on the bench.

The sockets and hex pieces are forged carbon steel with a chrome finish. The whole kit uses a 1/4-inch drive and is intended for hand-ratchet work.

A 1/4-inch drive suits smaller fasteners and cramped spots, such as small engines, mower decks and brackets. Larger 3/8 or 1/2-inch drives are separate sizes and are not part of this kit.

The kit includes a 1/4-inch electric adapter. It lets you hold bits and sockets in a power drill chuck. For hand work, switch back to the ratchet wrench.

The 1/4-inch universal joint sits between the ratchet and the socket. It bends, so you can turn a fastener that a straight ratchet and socket cannot line up with.

Wipe each piece with a dry cloth after use, then return it to its marked slot and close the case. Store the case in a dry spot on a toolbox shelf.

The quick-release ratchet wrench holds a socket or bit on its square drive. You fit the piece on by hand and pull it off when you want to change to another size.

Sockets fit over bolt and nut heads and attach to a ratchet to turn them. In this socket set, the 1/4-inch drive sockets pair with the quick-release ratchet for hand work in tight spaces.

Not exactly. A socket is the part that fits over a fastener, while the ratchet wrench turns it. This socket wrench set includes both, plus a universal joint and connector rods.

TorqueVantage: A 53-Piece Socket Set for Tight Spaces

TorqueVantage is a socket set built around a 1/4-inch drive, packed into a durable plastic storage case with a marked slot for every piece. It suits hand-ratchet work on mower decks, small engines and cramped brackets.

The 53 pieces include a metric socket set, 3 hexagon sockets and 21 screwdriver bits, along with connector rods, an electric adapter for a power drill and a universal joint. As a socket wrench set, it centers on a quick-release ratchet that swaps sockets with a click. The sockets are forged carbon steel with a chrome finish.

This ratchet set is meant for hand use rather than impact tools, and the single 1/4-inch drive case fits a toolbox shelf or truck console.

  • 1/4-inch ratchet wrench
  • Metric sockets and 3 hex sockets
  • 21 screwdriver bits
  • Slider, posts and small square rod
